The Practicing Law Institute offers programs and publications to serve attorneys and professionals in all areas of practice through continuing education efforts. The topic of this webinar was understanding your rights to privacy at the border under the Trump administration. The webinar included a thorough review of search and seizure policies under the Obama administration, a review of Constitutional rights at the border, a review of search and seizure policies under the Trump administration, and best practices for crossing the border for business and pleasure including how to protect privileged information.

On November 14, 2017, Rosanna Berardi, the Managing Partner and Founder of Berardi Immigration Law, was the featured speaker at her alma mater, Canisius College, during their weekly lunch and learn event series. Canisius College was founded in 1870 and is consistently ranked among the top regional college institutions in the Northeast. Canisius College is the premier private university in Western New York. Each Friday, Canisius College invited one guest speaker to sit with students and discuss their careers with them. During Rosanna’s presentation, she discussed her career as the business owner of a successful immigration law firm in Buffalo, New York.

The AAUW is the nation’s leading voice promoting equity and education for women and girls. The AAUW has over 170,000 members, 1,000 local branches, and 800 college and university partners nationwide. For this presentation, Rosanna Berardi discussed a general overview of the immigration system and also discussed hot topics in today’s immigration climate, including DACA, the Travel Ban, and more.

On August 14, 2017, Managing Partner of Berardi Immigration Law Rosanna Berardi was invited to be the featured speaker at the Rotary Club of Buffalo’s weekly meeting. The Rotary Club of Buffalo was founded in 1911 and was the Rotary International’s 28th club in the world. The Rotary Club of Buffalo currently has 150 active members. The mission of the Rotary Club is to provide service to others, to promote high ethical standards, and to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders. Since 1989, the club has awarded more than $1.7 million in grants to Western New York organizations. During her presentation, Rosanna Berardi gave an overview of general immigration practices and today’s hot topics. She discussed Trump’s infamous Travel Ban and other immigration trends under the current administration.
